BECAUSE IN THE HILLY AREAS 99% HAVE THE POSSIBILITY FOR SNOWFALL THATS WHY IT HAS SLOPING BRANCHES.

SO, SNOWS CAN FALL DOWN EASILY AND TREES AND PLANTS DIDNOT GET SUPPER FOR MAKING THEIR FOOD OR TRANSPIRATION.
