they are big in size and usually carries enormous loads from one place to the other. so when they are in a fast motion it is important to stop the vehicle on the spot without any damage to the vehicle or the goods .
so, when the breaks are applied there is high friction with respect to the road and the vehicle stops at an instance of time.
