Why do veins have valves but arteries don't have it?

Arteries carry blood away from the heart but veins carry blood to the heart so to avoid back flow of the blood in veins they hve valves ..

viens have blood that had to flow against gravity from limbs to upward heart and their is no pumping force behind like for arteries there is heart pumping hence valve helps to counter effect of gravity
