why do walls of trachea not collapse when there isless air in it

The human trachea is surrounded by c-shaped cartilages which prevent the collapsing of trachea.

The walls of trachea does not collapse even when there is less air in it, because of presence of the 'Rings of Cartilage' which give support to it and prevents it from collapsing.
