Answer:
because the ice uses our fingers heat to transform into liquid in the form of latent heat

- ice is the solid state of water
- when we touch a piece of ice, first transfer of heat takes place from our body to Ice as there is temperature difference
- ice will start melting that is the solid state of ice will be converted to liquid state of ice by observing heat energy from our body
- latent heat of fusion of ice=80cal/gm
- for 1gm of ice to get converted,80cal of heat is absorbed.
- as, heat energy is absorbed from our body we feel cool
