Why do we get muscle cramps after heavy excercise?​

Answer:

Human muscles can respire anaerobically. However, lactic acid is produced during this process and accumulates in the muscles. And when we do heavy exercise our muscles respire anaerobically and hence lactic acid is produced. That's why we get muscle cramps after heavy exercise.
