Due to the formation of lactic acid in our muscles due to lack of oxygen.

Answer:
Some times when we do too much exercise,it is hard for us to take in alot of oxygen as oxygen is needed for our body to brake the food and convert it to energy. hence to take in faster energy,our body muscles start breathing(aerobic respiration) when this happens we get muscle cramps.
