The second reason is that because chemicals in our food also activate our smell receptors. When you chew your food some of the chemicals go up from your mouth into your nose through a back passage way. In addition to taste other chemicals in your food activate your sense of smell.

Answer:

Well.. it depends on what we see and what we think about that food

like an example if I say then:-

If I give u a Juice or dish made of bitter guard u will feel like u don't want to eat it or smell it

But if I give u Burger, Pizza or other food with masala u will feel like to eat n make ur mouth watery by taking the smell

So.. at last it depends on what you want in eat in that meantime which makes u happy to eat it. (* ̄︶ ̄*)
