We need to keep in mind that sounds are measured in terms of its intensity. The sounds can vary in terms of its intensity. Its intensity is the measurement of the sounds acoustical power that is in fact transmitted by its wave.

The intensity is used to measure certain types of sound waves. This is again measured as 1 square cm. this is used for scientific reasons. This is true for sound waves as this factor can be used to measure any type of sound or its wave.
