A country cannot be truly democratic until its citizens have the opportunity to choose their representatives through elections that are free and fair. ... For an election to be free and fair, certain civil liberties, such as the freedoms of speech, association and assembly, are required.

\textbf{Election:} It is a political process by which citizens can choose their representatives by using their right to vote.

◾ We need regular, free and fair elections in a democracy because democracy is all about the representation system. The representatives can't be elected without elections. Thus, elections are needed in a democracy. Democracy also promote Equality and Justice and these values can only be achieved only by conducting regular, free and fair elections. As partial elections leads to corrupted government and corrupted government may destroy the democracy in the country.
