1)Rights help us to speak for ourselves and what we want from our government.
2)It helps us in choosing the leader to run our government.

4)It helps us in uniting for our common goals, perhaps in India.

• In a democracy every citizen has to be have the right ot vote and right to elect the government.

• Rights also perform a very special role in a democracy. Rights protect minorities from the expression of majority.

• They ensure that the majority cannot do whatever its likes.

• Rights are guarantees which can be used when things go wrong.

• Example : Sometimes elected government may not protect or may even attract the rights to their own citizen. That why, some rights need to places higher than the government so the government cannot violated them.
