Writing a long word can make the map look bad and it will be congested, hence it’ll be a problem for us to read and understand it .
That’s why we have a legend.
Legend of map shows us what symbol is used for what notation.
For example:
1)Like international borders are drawn using bold lines.
2)Capitals of a country are marked with a round • and again outlined.
3) Airports are marked with airplanes
