Hey. Here's your answer:

Why do we conserve minerals:

Mineral resources are basic requirement for economic development.  Every sector of the national economy— agriculture, industry, transport, commercial and domestic — needs inputs of mineral resources. The economic development plans implemented since independence necessarily required increasing amounts of minerals to remain operational.  As a result, consumption of minerals in all forms has been steadily rising all over the country and we need to conserve it for the future.

Ways to conserve minerals:

i. Use of mineral resources in a planned and sustainable manner.

ii. Improved technology needs to be constantly evolved to allow use of low grade ores at low costs.

iii. Recycling of minerals.

iv. Use of scrap metals.

v. Use of alternate substitutes.

Thanks!
