why do we not have any major scope for increasing the area of land under cultuvation​

It is important to increase the land area under production to meet the rising demands of the population. More the population, more the food you require. Agriculture is one of the main reasons for why we eat food.

Some farmers require more land to support their families. These farmers have very less amounts of land, which is not enough to support his family. Thus, it is necessary to increase the area under cultivation
