Why do we not look like our parents or siblings eventhough we inherit genes from our parents?

Because you not only have their genes but also the genes of ancestors which may vary and you are a mixture of them. It's like the proportion of genes varies in every person of the same family.

Because each parents give half of their genetic material to their children.This creates a unique combination of parents' genes.The combination for each child is different.So we look different.
