Cotton is plant based fibre, so it will resemble in some properties with paper which is also a plant based product.
Similarly wool is an animal based fibre so it will resemble to to those materials which are animal based in some properties.

yes we do. this is an experiment to know a material is cotton or silk. it smells like burning paper.
