☆Epiphytes are non-parasitic plants that grow on other plants. They derive their requirements from the air and dust surrounding them. They do not derive their nutrition from their hosts.

☆Rafflesia on the other hand is an Obligate parasite and uses Haustorium (like those in fungi) to derive nutrients from the host plant.

\large\mathbb{ EPIPHPTES }

An epiphyte is an organism that grows on the surface of a plant and derives its moisture and nutrients from the air, rain, water or from debris accumulating around it. Epiphytes take part in nutrient cycles and add to both the diversity and biomass of the ecosystem in which they occur, like any other organism.

\large\mathbb{ PARASITES }

A parasite is an organism that lives on or in a host organism and gets its food from or at the expense of its host. There are three main classes of parasites that can cause disease in humans: protozoa, helminths, and ectoparasites.
