Why do we prefer alternate source of energy?Explain with suitable examples

we prefer alternate source of energy because non renewable energy are exhaustible and cannot be harnessed back easily. It takes million of years to form them. For example coal , petroleum takes million of years to form so we should use renewable sources of energy like solar energy wind energy.

Alternative sources of energy include solar,wind, biomass, wave and tidal energy. These are energy sources that are not from fossil fuel energy. The following reasons is why they are preferred:
- They do not cause environmental pollution.
- They have no residue
- They are cheaper
- They are sustainable
solar and wind energy,for example can be used for eternity. They do not cause any form of pollution.
