Actually, For a nation with such diversity to have progressed without the turmoil often seen in other developing countries with similar multi-tugging interests, is an achievement that all Indian's can be proud of.

But good laws are only as good as their enforcement and the Constitution will only be as good as people upholding it.

They should show their respect for the law by observing the law.

The Government, corporations and individual citizens should never take the Constitution for granted. It is only as strong as we are prepared to give it the authority it deserves over us.

For this reason, Constitutional law is a specialty of law because there will be times when something, even a country’s law or a government’s action, may be construed as unconstitutional and challenged in court. It is the norm in all democratic nations ruled by law.

The rule of law which determines how the nation is governed and business is conducted can only exist as a safeguard for all citizens if the Constitution is given its rightful place.

Respect for the Constitution is a pre-requisite of all good governance, whether it is a local community group or higher governing body.
