why do we salivate during nap at daytime

Upper respiratory tract infections are usually associated with swallowing and breathing problems. Which cause drooling due to accumulation of saliva. we tend to breath by mouth when our nasal passage is blocked due to flu. It causes excess saliva to flow out while sleeping also.
