Question :-
Why do we see during the day some things and not the same at night ?
Answer :-
There are various types of receptors in our body which convey the impulses from the surroundings to the brain.
The receptor in the eye are called the photoreceptors.
They include two types of cells present in the eye called rods and cones.
Rods enable us to see things in the dark and it is very sensitive to low levels of illumination.
On the other hand we have cones that helps us to perceive colour.
Hence there are different types of cells which function differently during the night and the day.
At night , only the rods function while during day the cones function.
Thus we see differently at day and night.
