Hydrogen peroxide is a highly reactive metal that can react with light or heat to produce water. To prevent it’s reaction with light and heat to make water it is stored in coloured bottles so that light does’nt pass through it.

Hydrogen peroxide is a highly reactive metal that can react with light or heat to produce water .To prevent it's reaction with light and heat to make water it is stored in coloured thick bottles so that light doest'n pass through it & reaction doesn't occurs.Because hydrogen peroxide decomposes to H2O and O when it comes in direct contact with light. Coloured bottles stop this from happening.
fyi, the reaction take place as follows:
H2O2 light > H2O + O
i.e. hydrogen peroxide --> water + nausetic oxyge
