Because silver chloride gains the necessary reaction energy for the reaction in the pic, when sunlight falls upon it.
For every reaction to be initiated,it needs for the reactant an "activation energy" which silver chloride gains when sunlight falls upon it.Silver chloride absorbs energy and can react chemically to decompose into native state I.e silver and chlorine.
See the pic.
Thanks.
