Why do we use averages? ARE THERE ANY LIMITATIONS???

AVERAGES are a single value which summarises the characteristic of the data.

Since different countries have different population thus total income doesn't tell us what an average person is likely to earn in that case we use averages.

AVERAGES are sometimes influenced by extreme values.

They don't give us idea about individual level or standard of living
