Yawning is an involuntary action in which the mouth is opened and the lungs are filled with air.
Explanation:
- We yawn when we're sleepy or drowsy because our brain cells aren't getting enough oxygen. The deep breath that comes with yawning allows us to take in more oxygen and deliver it to our fatigued body organs, including the brain.
- Excessive yawning has yet to be determined. It can, however, be caused by: drowsiness,
- tiredness, or
- fatigue sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea or narcolepsy side effects of antidepressant or antianxiety drugs, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) bleeding in or around the heart
