Why do westerly winds flows from west to east when polar and trade winds flow from the east to west direction?

This is due to the Coriolis Force that the winds in the northern hemisphere move clock wise and in southern hemisphere move anti clockwise.The polar winds also blow more as eastrlies or east north eastrilies becoz of this.
