Because the frequency of the vibrating part (larynx)is higher in womens as compared to men's........ THE HIGHER THE FREQUENCY OF THE VIBRATING BODY,THE HIGHER WILL BE ITS PITCH (SHRILLNESS).

This is due to shorter vocal chords.

  • A loud sound with a high frequency is referred to as a high-pitched sound.
  • Men naturally have longer vocal cords that vibrate with low frequencies, providing them a deeper voice.
  • Whereas women typically have shorter vocal cords that vibrate more quickly and naturally generate a more extraordinary pitch.
  • Thus, females maintain a higher-pitched voice than males as the sounds produced by their vocal cords are more significant.
