The woodpeckers have a long sharp beak because it helps it to remove the bark from trees and find insects hiding inside holes in trees.

it is a positive evolution in order to make catching prey easier..They catches prey which are hiding inside small holes in the bark of monocote trees...They make the holes bigger and they catches the prey.Preys are commonly small insects,worms and larvae ....etc...
