Why do woollen clothes keep us warm in winters?

Woollen cloths are made by several layers or threads which makes cloth heavy and make by different cover of sheets therefore that keep warm and also are gernally msde of black colour absorbs heat to keep us warm.

Woollen clothes keep us warm in winter because woollen clothes are fluffy and trap air in their fibres. Air being a bad conductor of heat, does not allow our body heat to escape to the surroundings and keeps our body warm.
