Why do you think NREGA 2005 is referred to as 'Right to Work'?

Because of some reason, which are as follows:

1. It guarantees 100 days of assured work to those people who are able, and want to do work.

2. If the government fails in its duty to provide work, it will provide unemployment allowances to the people.

3. 1/3 of the jobs are reserved for women.

Because of these reasons, it may be called right to work

In NREGA, if the government fails in its duty to provide employment, it will give unemployment allowances to the people, so it is in effect giving the persons the right to work.
