Why do you think the family members try avoid talking of the ghost ?

first of all story telling about ghosts may frighten the family members who can lose their nerves and secondly members will develop a psychology to believe in the ghost stories which are based on false hood and superstition .Member must be scientific in their attitudes to life and activities.everything should be judged in the light of science ,not in superstition
