IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE FULL FILLED ELECTRON IN ITS OUTERMOST ORBIT.THEY DOESN'T REACT WITH ANY OTHER ELEMENT .THAT'S WHY THEY ARE PLCED IN SEPERATE 6 GROUP
