as rajkumar shulka was always nagging their master rajendra prasad to help the peasants so the servants thought that being a companion of shukla they took him to be a peasant

when rajkumar shukla along with Gandhi reached patna , shukla led Gandhi to the house of a lawyer rajendra Prasad . the servant knew shukla . he was a poor peasant of champaran . he always troubled rajendra Prasad to take up the cause of the indigo sharecroppers of champaran . the servant thought Gandhi was accompanying shukla and took him to be another peasant .
