why do you think there should be very little say by the government in the appointment of judges

becuz the people aspect the appointment judge to take out the best decision without getting in politics...

I think that their should not be any suggestion by the govt to the judiciary because of the following reasons:-

* The judges of the coarts are elected by their higher ones not by the govt.. For example:- the judge of supreme coart is appointed by the precident.

* The govt keeps on changing for every five year and can correct their mistake but once the decision given by the judge cant be changed until it is challanged at a heigher level.

* If the govt. want to keep the one who will only give the decision in that party's favour then the country will become a dictatorship country not a democratic country and the party who is rulling will always win using dirty tricks.

*If the precident appoints a judge of supreme coart then he will not take any party's side and will make a right choice without thinking about himself.

* To maintain the dignity of the country, it's citizens and the constitution
