This is one of those 'must do' places which was on our list of stop offs during an extended road trip. It exceeded expectations. Plenty of beautiful scenery, walks and weather, with excellent view points, photo opportunities etc.
The shuttle system along the south rim is set up well to cater for tourists and deposit them at various vantage points before retrieving them and ferrying to the next point or back to the visitors centre - or if you're feeling fit it is possible to walk between shuttle bus stops to take in the scenery for yourself.
