Hey mate..

The moisture was collected in the glass which was on grass but not on the other one as...it is a proof that plants carry out the process of transpiration through which they release extra amount of water present in them.

Answer:

The moisture was collected in the jar.

Explanation:

  • Transpiration takes place through stomata. water vapor comes out of leaves during transpiration. When grass is covered with a glass jar, water vapor (coming out because of transpiration) condenses on the wall of glass jar and hence it appears as fine droplets.
  • The leaves lose water in the form of vapor through its stomatal aperture during transpiration which condenses on the wall of glass jar.
  • So when an empty jar is kept on grass so we can observe the water on tips of grass due to the transpiration.
  • Transpiration is the process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts, such as leaves, stems and flowers.
  • Roots consume some amount of water from the soil and the rest evaporates in the atmosphere. Parts of plants such as stems, small pores on leaves, and flowers evaporate the water to the atmosphere.
