why does a ball bounce upon falling

There is an equal and opposite force on the ball in the upward direction (Newton's Third Law), which makes it bounce. The conversion of elastic energy to kinetic makes it rise against the ground. In other words, it bounces back into the air!

there is always and reaction against any action occurs . when a ball falls on upon a ground having a speed the surface will apply same amount or force on the ball hence ball gets bounce. simple there is an. action and reaction force b/w ball and ground
