Why does a charged object lose its charge when touched

when a charged object is grounded the access charge balanced by the transfer of electrons
between the charged object and a ground.. so whenever you touch a charged object then your body act as a path to the flow of charge from excessively charged objects from the ground ,thus charge object become neutral after that....
