We all know that gases have more intermolecular spaces in between them because of strong forces of attraction than other states of matter.
The kinetic energy of particle's of gases is high, they can move anywhere freely. So when we keep gas in any vessel it completely filled the vessel, as the particles move in the whole vessel and completes the space.
