\huge{\boxed{\boxed{\bold{FRICTION}}}}

If we try to hold glass with soapy hands then it tends to slip because of reduction in friction.

Friction is the action of rubbing of one material to another. This friction helps to hold things tightly so, that it may not slip from grip. As friction increase then our grip becomes mre strong and if it is reduced then grip will get loose.

For example:- Our chances of falling from a rough mat is very less than change of falling from marble floor as friction is more in mat than on marble floor. It is because the surface area is smooth which reduces the friction.

Similarly, as we know that lubricants reduces friction such as oil and soap. If friction is reduced then the grip becomes smooth and slippy and slips easily from our hand because of presence of soap. That's why if we try to hold the glass with soap in our hand, it tends to slip.
