Why does a karate expert suddenly reduce the speed of his hand while striking a slab of ice ? Explain with reference to Newton‟s law of motion

according to Newton's second law," the force applied to any body is directly proportional to the rate of change in momentum of the body."

from above it clears that as the value of time interval is low the force applied to the body increases so by this reason krattey player suddenly hit the slab of ice coz by doing this they reduces the time gap of hiting the slab.
