why does a light ray incident on a rectangular glass slab immersed in any medium emerge parallel to itself?

As u know
whenever the light ray enters a denser media from a rarer media it bends towards the normal
Here, same phenomenon is happening .
the incident ray is bend towards the normal line making an angle *
On the emerging point from glass slab it again hots the rarer media
And again as we know very well that a light ray bends away from normal making an anlgle*
hence the lateral displacement will be equal every where
so they'll be parallel
