Why does a mirror have one principal focus but lens has two principal foci ?

because lens is bounded by two spherical Mirrors

This is because it is a transparent medium having two surfaces out of which atleast 1 is spherical. since a double concave lens or concave lens has 2 spherical surfaces therefore they have 2 focal lengths
