This so happens because at lower temperature it absorbs all these colours except red and. at higher temperature it absorbs red and other colours and green is emitted.... .

Among the seven basic colours of the rainbow,the red colour has the maximum amount of wavelength.
And that's why for the absorption of the red colour ,the maximum amount of energy is necessary.
For this reason when we heat a red glass at a higher temperature,the red colour is absorbed by that enormous amount of heat energy and green colour is emitted as the residual colour emission.
