Hello!

The answer is simple

Here is your answer!
==========================================================

As we know there are little spaces in the soil where roots absorb  air ,water and nutrients to support the stems and leaves above.

So what happens is that when the plant is overwatered  cuts off the air and the roots begin to suffocate,rot and eventually die.

And the result would be wilting leaves and a pot that feels heavy due to soggy soil.

Hence the plant dies.
