Why does a rolling ball come to rest after a while?

Because of friction between ball and the surface.

Any object comes to rest after a while due to the frictional force.. similarly, the rolling ball comes to rest after sometime as the floor creates friction which oppose the motion of the ball..It is practically impossible for creating a frictional less surface in the microscopic level..
