the vapour pressure of any substance increases as temperature rises solids not to just liquid sublimation happens when the total pressure of the atmosphere is less than the vapour pressure of compound and melting has not happened yet because it is not enough different compounds have different vapour pressures.

hope it is helpful to you.........

Answer:

Sublimation is the process by which a solid changes into its gaseous state without changing to its liquid state and vice versa.

The cause of sublimation is the very weak bond in between the molecules of a particular substance. Hence, it changes into its gaseous state on heating very mildly or at room temperature.

Example : Naphthalene, Ammonium chloride etc.
