Heya friend!

Sheena here!

So zones....

Our Earth is divided into 3 zones namely >>>

Torrid Zone

Temperate Zone

Frigid Zone

=> This is divided by the climatic conditions from the 7 main latitudes.

So Your question is related to Temperate zone so lets study what is a temperate zone.

=> A temperate Zone is a zone which is extended from the Arctic circle to the Antarctic circle (Latitudes)

=> The word temperate means Nominal meaning normal or not extreme.

=> Temperate zone also means a zone with different temperatures.

Coming to your question>>>

Q. Why does a temperate zone support many varieties of organisms?

Answer>>>

=> Temperate zone doesn't have an extreme climate and has changes in climate accurately.

=> Compared to the torrid zone and the frigid zone temperate zone has the most possible chances of having the survival of many animals as it is not either more hot nor too cold.

=> It is not too hot compared to that torrid zone as it receives direct sunrays from the sun.

=> It is not too cold compared to frigid zone as the poles experience more than a half of year cold which sometimes defect the climatic conditions.

=> Frigid zone is mostly covered with snow and will won't support the growth of plants here.

=> Torrid zone is too hot which sometimes causes more hotness in soil and won't have water which helps the plants and organisms not to survive.

=> In such cases Temperate zone experience both climatic conditions for short periods of time, Hence it supports many varieties of organisms.
