☯Acids undergo dissociation in aqueous solution to form H+ ions. When electricity is passed through an aqueous solution of an acid, the H+ ions reach the cathode and each H+ ion picks up one electron from the cathode to form H2 gas. Because of this reaction, an aqueous solution of acid conducts electricity.

Answer:
an aqueous solution of an acid conduct electricity because acids release hydrogen ions
Explanation:
- Ions are the charged particles which are laden with either positive charge or negative charge...
- But for a solution to conduct electricity it doesn't depends on what charge does the ion carry but the number of ions present in solution.
- Pure water do not contain any ions so it does not conduct electricity..
- But when acids are added to water, acids release Hydrogen ion which is a Positively charged ion... therefore making the water electrically conductive in Nature...
