Atomic Mass : It is the total mass of protons and neutrons in an individual atom or isotope.
Atomic Weight : It is the average mass of all of the naturally-occurring isotopes of an element
Since, Atomic Mass is total mass of protons and neutrons in an individual atom or isotope and not the actual weight of an Atom.
Hence, atomic mass of an element is not considered as the actual mass of its atom
